Speedway Racing Advertising & Sponsorship Menu Introduction
Racing takes place on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm from March 20th onwards in a seventeen-strong Premier League. The league is one of the most cosmopolitan in the sport with clubs based as far apart as Edinburgh & Glasgow in the north competing against the likes of the Isle of Wight, Newport & Somerset in the south. Local derbies are maintained against Newcastle and Sheffield (a Yorkshire derby!). This year sees two new clubs in Reading Racers and Scunthorpe Scorpions.
The Redcar Cubs are part of the club's youth development policy and will compete in the eight-strong Conference League. Raceday will be on Saturdays at a time to be confirmed very shortly.
We invite local businesses to become involved in the fast and exciting sport of speedway racing.

Fast & Furious Track Action... the Sport for the whole family....
Thursday Nights at 7.30pm
South Tees Motorsport Park Dormer Way, Off South Bank Road Middlesbrough
The sport is acclaimed as the Number One family entertainment where the fans out on the terraces range from babes in arms to great grandmas and great grandads!! Its origins are from Australia with the pioneers of dirt track racing establishing the sport in the UK in about 1928 with High Beech in the Epping Forest renowned as the birth place of British Speedway Racing.
The sport has had its real boom times with crowds of 40,000 to 100,000 flocking to the likes of Wembley, White City, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow etc to witness the action. Television has captured the thrills, spills and kill throttle action over the years with SKY SPORTS now televising weekly meetings from the Elite League plus giving full worldwide coverage of the World Championship Grand Prix Series.
The format for league racing involves four leather clad racers battling it out over four laps for points on brakeless 500cc methanol powered bikes on circuits ranging from 240 to 400 plus metre ovals throughout the UK. The excitement is breathtaking and the sport proudly has some 35 plus tracks from Scotland to the Isle of Wight.
Sponsorship & Advertising go hand in hand with the sport. Being a family sport the speedway fan is very loyal to those who back their sport. The support is found from multi-national companies to local tradesmen, one man bands and the fans themselves! The sport certainly lends itself to sponsors and advertisers who get full value for their money. Some have even become so involved that they have gone on to become speedway promoters themselves the sport is so infectious.
The use of "SUPPORT THOSE WHO SUPPORT US" is widely used and the two way involvement is plain to see. Testimony of this the continuation of regular backing at each and every track in the country from their local sponsors and advertisers. No one can predict the outcome of any advertising undertaken but history shows that this form of backing at low-rate costs does pay for itself.
At Redcar Bears Speedway we offer the opportunity of backing YOUR new local club. We will tailor your involvement to a package that suits both you and us. We have a "menu" of available methods of backing from a simple advertising square in the match day programme to kill backing of the team itself with national identity and exposure for your firm. We hope that we can interest you in becoming involved with the Bears and that you will take up our invitation of joining us at one of our Thursday night meetings at The South Tees Motorsport Park.
NB: All the heat sponsorship and programme advertising has now been sold and meeting sponsorships are fast running out with 15 of the 26 scheduled meetings already booked. If you want to book a meeting demand has been exceptional so be quick! Banner advertising and associate sponsorship at the track are still available as is the opportunity to sponsor an individual rider. We are happy to consider 'product placement deals' such as the one we have arranged with Normanby Laboratory Services for customised ear protection. Sponsorship of any kind is greatly appreciated and acknowledged by our club. If you have any queries please don't hesitate to contact me. I am happy to follow up any potential sponsorship leads.
